Interiors Photography at Canopy Memphis Hotel for the design firm Sawyer & Company
I had the great pleasure to shoot at the Canopy Hotel in Memphis, TN one of the last project of the interior design firm Sawyer & Company. The firm is well known for blending seamlessly the design experience with a project’s unique identity and neighborhood culture. For the Canopy Memphis Hotel, the designs are inspired by the effective transportation methods that have historically defined the city; vintage automobiles on Route 61, the “Blues Highway”, steel bridges, and steamboats that have churned down the Mississippi River. All palettes, textures, and design details are driven by notions of the city’s lively music culture and local cuisine
Besides the classic wide-angle photos of the spaces, there were a lot of interesting design details to capture. That type of project allows for a nice editorial style of photography.
